Back in March twins Archie & Fleur celebrated their first birthday party in style. Laura and Rob had spent weeks planning a circus themed afternoon filled with family, friends and games for the older kids at their home in Burton-upon-Trent. Laura clearly has a very artistic streak, as not only were the decorations sourced by her, but the chalkboard drawing and cake were creations from her own fair hands – she’s one clever mummy.
I really loved all the details at this party, from the “monkey food” for the circus animals to the pin the nose on the clown game. Even the cupcake stand was a Ferris wheel – how awesome is that!
Archie was clearly more at home amongst the party antics, whilst Fleur had a nap before coming around slowly and preferring to stay with close relatives. The twins never wanted for a pair of arms to cuddle them during the party, with so many grandparents, aunties and uncles all on hand for birthday snuggles. Whilst little cousins ran throughout the house playing games and attacking grown-ups. I especially loved the girls who went off for their own “selfie session” in the hallway.
p.s. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better dressed party table as this one – it was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.
